Terms of Service
The simple rules for using Flowa, plus a few important things to know.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Flowa mobile app ("Flowa", "we", "our", or "the app"). By downloading or using Flowa, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
1. Description of Service
Flowa is a personal health and faith companion designed for Muslim women, available on iOS and Android. It helps you track your menstrual cycle, log daily symptoms and moods, manage missed fasts (Qada), track your daily prayers and ghusl, browse a library of duas, and optionally follow trying-to-conceive and pregnancy journeys. Flowa is designed to work offline and stores your data on your device.
2. No Account Required
Flowa has no accounts and no sign-in. Your data is stored locally on your device, and you do not create credentials to use the app. Because there is no account, you are responsible for the security of your device and for any backups of your data. Clearing the app's data or uninstalling the app permanently removes your information from your device.
3. Not Medical Advice
Flowa is not a medical device and does not provide medical diagnoses, treatment recommendations, or contraceptive guidance. Cycle predictions, fertile-window estimates, and pregnancy information are estimates based on the data you enter and may not be accurate for every individual. Flowa should not be used as a method of contraception or to prevent or achieve pregnancy. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional or midwife for any health concern.
4. Not Religious Rulings
Flowa includes Islamic features such as prayer and ghusl reminders, Qada fast tracking, and a dua library, and it may offer gentle faith-oriented encouragement. This content is for supportive and educational purposes only and does not constitute a religious ruling (fatwa). For religious guidance, please consult a qualified Islamic scholar.
5. AI Insights
Flowa offers optional AI-generated insights (for example, cycle summaries, pregnancy stage summaries, reflections on how you may be feeling, and conception guidance). These features are turned off by default and, where offered as part of a subscription, require an active subscription. AI Insights are generated by a third-party AI model and may be inaccurate or incomplete. They are supportive guidance only and are not medical or religious advice. 6. Subscriptions & Payments
Some features, including AI Insights, may be offered as part of an optional paid subscription ("Flowa Premium"). The following terms apply to subscriptions:
- Subscriptions are purchased and billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Payment is charged to your app store account at confirmation of purchase.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings. Cancelling stops future renewals; it does not retroactively refund the current period.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google in accordance with their policies. We do not process payments or store your payment details.
- Prices, features, and available plans may change; any changes will apply to future billing periods.
7. Your Responsibilities
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter. You agree to use Flowa only for its intended personal use and in compliance with all applicable laws. You may not attempt to reverse-engineer, misuse, or interfere with the app, its AI service, or its infrastructure, or use it to build a competing product.
8. Your Data
Your data is stored on your device, and you retain ownership of it at all times. We handle any data that leaves your device in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. You are responsible for maintaining your own backups; we cannot recover data that is deleted from your device.
9. Intellectual Property
All content, design, code, and branding within Flowa are the property of the developer, except for third-party content used under license (including Quranic text and authentic supplications). You may not copy, reproduce, modify, or distribute any part of the app without prior written permission.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
Flowa is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the app will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that predictions, insights, or reminders will be accurate. Use the app at your own discretion.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer of Flowa shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to reliance on cycle predictions, fertility or pregnancy estimates, AI Insights, or any health or religious information provided by the app.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and notify users within the app where appropriate. Continued use of Flowa after updated Terms are posted constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
